Industrial Roller Shutters

Roller shutters are suitable for a wide range of buildings and we have successfully supplied and fitted them for factories, workshops, garages and shops fronts across East and West Sussex, Surrey and Kent. They can be designed and manufactured to suit almost any size of opening.

Our roller shutters are secure, durable and versatile. They can be supplied either manual or electric operation, with an extensive selection of operating and safety equipment. Available either un-insulated or insulated for improved thermal resistance. Designed for ease of operation and able to withstand high winds.

Most often supplied in galvanised finish but can be finished in most plastisol colours or Powder coated too many of the RAL or BS colours.
Roller shutter doors require a minimal amount of space and can be fitted to most structures.

Wicket doors in various sizes can be incorporated into the curtain for pedestrian access and can be fitted with a variety and locks and handles or panic exit hardware, although this will affect the thermal qualities of an insulated door.

For added weather protection hoods, bottom rail seals and side brush seals can all be fitted at extra costs.

Security upgrades can be fitted in the form of bullet locks fitted to each side guide, bottom rail locks or ground lock units.

Sterling Un-insulated Roller Shutter

• Doors are constructed and tested to satisfy BS EN 13241-1:2003
• Curtain: 75mm interlocking curved laths, in varying gauges depending on the size of the door and with plastic end locks or cast end locks on larger doors with wind guides
• Side guides, supporting angles and bottom rail galvanised finish
• Available with solid, perforated or punched laths – galvanised or colour finish
• Wind guides on doors generally over 5.0m wide and with cast wind locks
• Barrels made from steel tube with barrel blocks containing sealed bearings and bright drawn support shafts
• Hand chain operated barrels contain high quality helical counter balancing springs to suit the curtain weight and operated through a single or double reduction chain hoist mechanism
• Motorised barrels available in single or three phase options, without springs
• Security: A chain keep is fitted to hold the haul chain ready to take the customers padlock
• Safety brakes to prevent the door falling back are fitted to doors when required

Sterling Insulated Roller Shutter

• Doors are constructed and tested to satisfy BS EN 13241-1:2003
• Curtain: two skins of 90/100mm interlocking with plastic end locks and filled with CFC free insulation
• Galvanised side guides fitted with twin brush pile seals
• Bottom rail rubber seal and head brush strip
• Available as electric operation only, in single or three phase options
• Barrels made from steel tube with welded barrel plates and bright drawn support shafts
• Available with punched and glazed laths
• Insulated curtain has an insulation value of 1.4 w/m2/ºC and a sound reduction of 18 dB
