Sectional Doors

An attractive style of door with a wide choice of designs and with one of the highest insulation values of all types of Industrial Door.

Sectional doors are suitable for domestic garages, small industrial units to much larger openings.

Doors with standard track systems can be up to 8m wide by 6m high are possible and depending on the track systems and opening heights 10m widths can be accommodated.

Panels can be supplied in 12 Plastisol colours 24 standard Polyester colours to suit most specifications but the panels can be factory finished in almost any RAL or BS 4800 colour.

Panels can be supplied as either solid panels with stucco or micro ribbed profiles or as panoramic aluminium panels with single or double glazed units or in filled with louvers, mesh or bars for car parks etc.

Windows, in various sizes and shapes, provide light and vision.

Sectional doors, depending on size can be push up/pull down, chain hoist operated or motorised.

Technical Information

• Panels constructed from steel insulated 40mm thick steel sandwich panels with an inner and outer substrate of 0.45mm to 0.5mm continuously hot dip, zinc coated structural steel.
• The closed cell, Polyurethane insulation core is HFC, CFC & HCFC free foam.
• Insulation 40mm panels have a thermal bridge and a U value of 0.51 W/M2K and a weighted sound reduction of (RW) of 25db.
  Where insulation is of primary importance we can offer enhanced insulation properties by using 60mm or 80mm thick panels (limited colour range and minimum quantities may apply).
• Glazing where natural light is the primary consideration a variety of vision/glazing options are available, from port holes to full width aluminium sections.
• Panel Finishes the standard finish of the inner face of our panels is white architectural polyester. The external panel face is available in a comprehensive range of polyester and plastisol colours in ribbed and micro-profile designs.
• Sealing System a foam seal is provided to the bottom of each panel providing air and water tightness. Flexible rubber seals are fitted to all four sides of the door. The top seal compresses against the lintel; the bottom seal compresses against the threshold/floor.
• Track System the track system is manufactured from cold rolled sections in a variety of options, standard lift, high lift, full vertical lift and low headroom configurations.
• Pass Doors also known as wicket doors avoid unnecessary operation of the main door therefore making immediate energy savings. A low threshold option is available which can accommodate wheeled equipment.
• Hardware each panel is connected to its adjoining panel with high quality galvanised hinges and adjustable roller carriers. The rollers have a steel shaft and nylon running surface and a ball race bearing.
• Anti-Fall/Safety in compliance with EN1324-1 our doors are fitted with a variety of safety features i.e. spring break and cable break anti fall devices which prevent the uncontrolled movement on the door leaf.
• Torsion Spring the door leaf is balanced by Torsion Springs. Springs can be upgraded for high usage doors. All springs are individually calculated to suit the total weight of the panel and track configuration. Springs are supported on a 25.4mm shaft with spring mounting castings.
• Operating options doors fitted with 4:1 reduction chain hoist mechanisms or Electric motors, either single or three phase.

Depending on customer choice, application and function a variety of door activation systems are available.

The closed cell, Polyurethane insulation core is HFC, CFC & HCFC free foam.

Locking galvanised shoot bolt, padlockable version available, inter-lock available for electric doors to disconnect the power when in the locked position.

Pass Doors also know as wicket doors avoids unnecessary operation of the main door, the frequency of use of the main door is reduced which yields immediate energy savings. A low threshold option is available which can accommodate wheeled equipment.

Anti Fall/Safety in compliance with EN1324-1 our doors are fitted with a variety of safety feature spring break and cable break anti fall devices which prevent the uncontrolled movement on the door leaf.

Torsion Spring the door leaf is perfectly balanced by coated Torsion Springs, shot blasted for longer life. Spring usage designed for approx 15,000 cycles. All springs are individually calculated to suit the total weight of the panel and track configuration. Springs are supported on a 25.4mm shaft with spring mounting castings.

Drive Unit

The drive unit is connected to the control panel using a flexible power cable with plug connectors each end for ease of installation.
